Scott Cockerham

Scott Cockerham provides restructuring, valuation, strategic planning and acquisition advisory services focused on the energy sector. His experience in energy spans upstream oil & gas, oilfield services, and infrastructure.

Prior to joining Conway MacKenzie Capital Advisors, Mr. Cockerham oversaw corporate strategy at an oil and gas company, leading initiatives in business development, public entity formation, infrastructure investment management, Sarbanes Oxley compliance, and institutional fundraising. During his tenure Mr. Cockerham oversaw the analysis of 28 drilling partnerships for consolidation into a public entity, a $70mm infrastructure portfolio, a 15,000 acre acquisition in the Eagle Ford shale valued at $75 million, and fundraising initiatives on three continents.

Mr. Cockerham was previously a partner at Parkman Whaling LLC, an energy investment and merchant bank. While at Parkman Whaling he oversaw numerous advisory engagements, including the funding of Rubicon Oil & Gas’ drilling program in excess of $100 million. He also formed, funded, and exited Ultra Tech Frac Services LLC, a hydraulic fracturing services company based in Houston with operations in West Texas. In addition he formed an oil and gas company with operations in the San Joaquin basin.

Mr. Cockerham has worked in investment management at Goldman Sachs & Co and Deutsche Bank AG. He began his career as an officer in the United States Marine Corps.

Mr. Cockerham earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors from the United States Naval Academy.
