Patrick has more than 15 years of consulting experience serving global clients along the entire regulated and unregulated energy value chain.
Patrick has led or been involved in numerous client engagements, including the following:

  • Organizational post-merger integration of a power and a natural gas company forming a multi-utility that realizes synergies on the revenue and cost side
  • Market entry strategy for a global independent power producer (IPP) expanding into new markets
  • Strategic sourcing and supply chain optimization for leading utilities, IPPs, and oil and gas companies
  • IT strategy development for one of the world’s largest investor-owned utilities
  • Benchmarking of operational effectiveness of fossil and nuclear power plants around the world
  • Customer segment-based growth strategy for a leading regulated and unregulated water company
  • Strategic due diligence for major transactions in the energy sector

Patrick recently led a study on the impact of shale gas on power generation in North America. Patrick is also a frequent speaker at energy-related conferences and round tables. He earned an MBA in finance and management from Columbia Business School and a master’s of industrial engineering and operations management from the University of Karlsruhe in Germany.
