Kristian Allee

Kristian D. (Kris) Allee is an assistant professor at the Wisconsin School of Business and joined the faculty in 2013 after spending five years at Michigan State University. Kris graduated with his Ph.D. from Indiana University in 2008. Prior, Kris attended Brigham Young University, where he graduated with honors, receiving bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting. Kris was an associate economist for the Federal Reserve Banks in St. Louis, Charlotte, N.C., and Richmond, Va. Kris’ research examines the production and use of financial statements by small businesses, firms’ voluntary disclosure policies, the effects of investor sophistication on disclosure policies, implied cost of equity capital estimates, and corporate tax policies and behavior. He has published research in The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, Accounting Organizations and Society, Business Horizons, and The Journal on Baseball and American Culture.
